On Sunday, February 22, 2026, The Starling Atlanta Midtown will become the epicenter of influence as Men’s Business Quarterly presents the highly anticipated Global Men Icon Awards Gala — a black-tie evening celebrating excellence, leadership, and generational impact.
Bringing together 40 nationally recognized and distinguished men, the event represents a powerful cross-section of leadership spanning government, enterprise, ministry, media, athletics, and community advancement. More than an awards ceremony, the Global Men Icon Awards is a curated gathering of men whose decisions shape industries, whose voices influence policy, and whose leadership strengthens communities across Atlanta and beyond.
This year’s distinguished honorees include DeKalb County CEO Michael L. Thurmond; President of Morris Brown College Dr. Kevin James; Executive Vice President of Research and Member Engagement Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough; The Honorable Marvin Arrington Jr.; Attorney Brian Poe; Attorney Kareem Maddison; Real Estate Expert and Founder of HMH Holdings LLC Dr. Harold Maurice Hardnett; Metro Atlanta President of iHeartMedia Spencer Bynes; and NFL Veteran Orson Prince-Charles, among an elite lineup of executives, entrepreneurs, educators, and civic leaders.
The evening will feature a red-carpet arrival experience, luxury brand activations, elevated dining, and high-level networking, culminating in a thoughtfully curated awards program honoring legacy, influence, and forward-thinking leadership.
In addition to celebrating living icons, the event will honor the enduring legacies of Alvin Ailey–trained dancer Stanley Alexander, Egyptian scholar Dr. Charles Finch III, MD, and pediatrician and civil rights advocate Dr. Booker Taliaferro Washington Poe — men whose contributions continue to inspire through their lasting impact.
Further reinforcing its commitment to future leadership, the Global Men Icon Awards will recognize five exceptional Young Men of Power Scholar recipients — emerging leaders who exemplify academic excellence, integrity of character, and extraordinary commitment to community impact.
